Why this design says 96 rather than the old 92
The old headline said median, but its numbers match the rounded arithmetic means of the table. The performance mean is 92.3; the median is 96. The current brief specifically asks for the median, so the new design calculates and labels it correctly. This explains the numerical discrepancy; it does not independently validate the original measurements.

These scores come from different dates, samples and test environments. They provide historical context, not a controlled head-to-head comparison, a load-time multiplier or a guarantee for any individual website.
What “good” means
Google classifies Lighthouse performance scores from 90 to 100 as Good. A score is not a percentage speed improvement.
